Michael Douglas has been a hairdresser for 23 years and has had clients that have included everyone from Michael Caine and Kate Moss to Danni Minogue and Davina McCall
During the 90’s and 00’s, working on London, Paris, Milan and New York fashion weeks, he styled the supermodels and celebrities for shows and shoots.
Having become a father in 2005 he’s stuck slightly closer to home and has carved out a niche on Television
Setting up a Independent Production company, this has allowed the freedom to make TV programs more suited to his style.
In the last 7 years he’s had 2 hit shows on the Discovery Channel known as “The Hairman” and “The Stylistic”, The history man and the Hairdresser for BBC1 and has been part of the BBC 1’s “ The One Show” success as” The Street Barber” since the show began. He will be making a further episodes for The One Show in 2012.
Michael also continues his VIP client and session work and creates beautiful hair for TV commercials, advertisements, press and PR activity.
He spent 18years of his career working alongside Wella in both their professional and consumer departments and still to this day has an ongoing relationship with P&G Beauty as an ambassador, working across a number of their hair brands.
Michael was born and raised in Lancashire and has lived in London for the last 18 years
He’s married with 2 boys, Sonny and Joel.
